The Water-Energy-Food Nexus Initiative has an on-going set of pilot projects focused on supporting the planning for Water-Energy-Food resources in San Antonio and the surrounding region. This effort has now been underway since October 2015, and we have reached the stage at which we are now ready to engage the Stakeholder community and share outputs of the science accomplished to date.
The Water-Energy-Food Nexus (WEF) Stakeholder Information and Engagement Workshop will include invited leaders from diverse technical, academic, research, and business backgrounds in the water, energy, and food sectors and from the San Antonio and South Texas Region. The workshop will last approximately four hours (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM), including a networking lunch with a keynote speaker.
Participants will receive general information about the Nexus and activities already underway by the Texas A&M research partners and associates. Participants will learn details of six San Antonio case studies from each lead researcher and of proposed National Science Foundation work from the WEF initiative leadership. Focused, open discussion will focus on stakeholder engagement and information sharing opportunities for current and future Nexus-related research.
Please save the date and confirm your attendance by registering. More details will be shared soon!
